4 Days Mid-Range Tanzania Safari
Day 01
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are warmly welcomed and picked up by a professional safari guide from Eco Kilimanjaro Expedition. After assistance with luggage and a short safari briefing, you are transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
This day is reserved for arrival and relaxation, allowing you to recover from your international journey while enjoying the calm surroundings before the safari begins.
Upon arrival at your Hotel, you check in and spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner is served, followed by an overnight stay.

Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, you depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts abundant wildlife throughout the year.
You spend the day exploring the park’s varied landscapes, with excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and diverse birdlife. A picnic lunch is enjoyed inside the park, allowing uninterrupted game viewing. In the late afternoon, you proceed to the Ngorongoro highlands for your overnight stay.

Day 02
Day 03
Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Karatu
Following an early breakfast, you drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a comprehensive game drive.
The crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas, supporting a dense population of animals including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, flamingos, and the endangered black rhinoceros. A picnic lunch is served on the crater floor while enjoying the dramatic scenery and exceptional wildlife encounters. In the afternoon, you ascend from the crater and return to Karatu, for overnight.

Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha
After breakfast at your lodge, you depart the Ngorongoro highlands and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet remarkably diverse park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
The park is famous for its lush groundwater forest, open floodplains, alkaline lake, and rich birdlife. During the game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, baboons, and a wide variety of bird species, including flamingos and pelicans. Lake Manyara is also well known for its unique tree-climbing lions, though sightings depend on luck and timing. A picnic lunch is enjoyed inside the park, allowing you to fully experience the tranquil setting. In the afternoon, you exit the park and drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.

Day 04
A Fond Farewell or Zanzibar Extension
Rest and recuperation at the hotel before your transfer to the airport.
Note: Hotel check-out is at 10:00 AM. In case you need a late check-out because of an evening flight, there is the option to extend your hotel stay for an extra fee.
